I couple of days ago I had a water infection, with that horrible sensation of needing to empty my bladder all the time. It was also accompanied by heat and stinging on passing urine and I also had flu like symptoms.
I didn't go to the doctors as I know he would have given me antibiotics and so took the advice of good friend who told me to take a drop of organic tea tree in a little water 3 times 2 hours apart for 2 days and to drink cranberry juice and I'm pleased to say 2 days later I'm feeling much better.
I have also been told that chewing raw parsley is excellent and that bathing in Dead Sea Salts is also brilliant for this problem and other women's problems so I am going to give that a go tonight. BUT my question is why does someone get a water infection and can it be avoided and if so how?

This week the Daily Mail published an article on Deep Brain Stimulation that entails two holes being drilled into your skull and then the brain being stimulated with electrodes.
Is this the solution? Ask yourself, should brain surgery be used on non-life threatening illnesses? Surely it is imperative that all non-invasive options must be considered in the first instance.
Can anybody give me any information on the use of light therapy for Chronic fatigue syndrome as I have heard that it helps particularly in cases of sleep disorder problems

With the cost of cigarettes continuing to rise and the increased evidencethat smoking can lead to cancer, there is a greater desire to quit the habit, but this is easier said than done for one who has smoked for many years. I am continually fighting the flab. Because I have arthritis I am not able to do much exercise, and although I cut down on my food intake the amount of weight I loose is so disheartening that I soon give up. I have tried umpteen different diets, but seem to have put on more and more weight every time I stop.
I am getting quite depressed and would really like to find a way to "happily" lose some weight, well abiout 3 stones.
My feet cause me a lot of problems. I have hammer toes and although I had physiotherapy for them some time ago, they have become painful again. Sometimes I feel as though I am walking on broken glass. Is there anything I can do apart from taking lots of painkillers?

I have already had one knee replacement, but the other knee is getting very painful and starting to bend outwards. As I have never been completely free from pain after the first operation I do not really want to have another. Is there anything I can do to prolong this and help with the pain which at times is quite severe. I take non sterodial pain killers (Meloxican 15mg), The only time I get any freedom from the pain is when I take steroids for severe Asthma.
I have looked up the symptoms of this disease and it seems I have all most every one. Due to having one Dr for each problem no one put all the symptoms together. This happened after I was diagnosed with a lump in my left breast, which I had before as Cancer in 2000-and Radiation. Then a black spot was found in my left lung which is getting worse and they do not know what it is. The skin rash concerns me the most. I have has the MRI, for spine, EMG for nerves, Cat Scan for lung, Mamogram for breast. So is the blood test the final conclusion to this diagnosis?

How does one continue living after the death of a loved one?
How does one continue living after their spouse has passed away, having had so many good years of devoted love to each other? How can the emptyness be filled? The time passes so slowly and the desire to live can be lost. What is the best way to get back to happy living?
I have suffered for many years with very itchy skin particularly on the hands and feet, the condition becomes more intense when we have damp wet weather, the skin becomes inflamed and any cream thatIuse to try and soothe itjust seems to irritate it further. I have taken many courses of steroids prescribed by the GP's over the years to try and control it, but the relief is short lived and often the condition comes back with greater vengeance.
Is there any alternative therapy that I could try that may give me some relief or even repair? When the condition is at is most uncomfortable ness I can hardly concentrate to do anything and unfortunately resort to scratching the skin which gives short term comfort but alas the pain is then greater often tearing the skin to ill repair. I would be grateful to anyone who may be able to help me.
