When you hear the word Aromatherapy what comes to mind? Most likely you think of sweet fragrances and relaxation but have you considered first aid? Most people make sure they have a first aid kit stocked with bandages, creams, gauzes, stitches in preparation for an unfortunate event. By adding several essential oils to your trusted first aid kit you will be better prepared to nurse the body back to health.

Aromatherapy is a type of herbal medicine. The essential oil is the herb in its concentrated form. Most essential oils should be diluted before use as using them neat could be harmful. Some people would insist upon 10-20 different essential oils becoming members of your fist aid kit but there are three definite chooses: Lavender, Tea tree and Eucalyptus. These three essential oils are most universal in healing the entire body.

  • Respiratory Problems

It's important to keep the essential oils in a dark place where they are not exposed to light or heat. Mark each bottle to avoid using the incorrect oil. Remember when blending oils for a first aid use don't be concerned about creating a beautiful scent stay focused on creating a remedy. Oils can be administered in several ways some can be applies neat but mostly they should be blended in a base oil, a gel (e.g. Aloe Vera), a stream bath or a humidifier.

These three essential oils are relatively inexpensive and offer a great service to your family by assisting in healing your unfortunate ouches!
