This is a 2 day course aimed at therapists who treat, or wish to treat the elderly, frail, confused or mobility compromised client. As the name suggests, it is a gentle treatment that takes into account their mobili8ty and pain thresholds, accommodating both bed and wheelchair sequences.

It is also suitable for MS, Parkinson’s and Motor Neurone sufferers.

With this form of massage you are not aiming to give a deep and forceful treatment.  The aim is to work on the superficial layers of tissue using firm and encompassing holds.

You will learn the different massage techniques and types of strokes to uses in this type of massage.

There is no written exam or written assignments to do.

You will need to complete 3 case studies on 1 person.
