This qualification provides students with knowledge of the principles of reflexology, and how reflexologists practice. Students will learn health, safety and hygiene, human anatomy, physiology and pathology, how to prepare the treatment area, themselves and their client, they will demonstrate competence in dealing with clients, using consultation techniques, using information for planning treatments. Students will also learn the benefits and techniques of reflexology and be able to provide treatments safely and effectively to clients in different circumstances. They will learn to reflect on the outcomes of treatments, and offer a series of treatments to achieve a desirable result. Aspects of business studies are also included.
This qualification requires the student to provide evidence of competence in the form of case studies or individual treatments to cover range statements, demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to explain Reflexology and provide it safely, effectively and consistently.
Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to complete both practical and theoretical assignments at home. Assessments will take place during the course and again when all your case studies and Portfolio of Evidence is completed.
This qualification can lead into more advanced courses on reflexology techniques, other complementary therapies, other learning, and foundation or full degrees in complementary therapies.

Course duration: Practical elements are covered over 6 days attendance at our centre 9.30am – 5.30pm. Theory elements are covered by homestudy, typically over 3 to 12 months plus 3 final assessments and a written exam to be carried out at our centre.
