BSc Nutritional therapy courses are delivered by BCNH in partnership with University of Greenwich

Enrolment Requirement

Successful completion of the 3-year BCNH Degree-level Diploma in Nutritional Therapy (without clinical practice).

Following successful completion of a BCNH Degree-level Diploma, students may apply to join the BSc (Hons) Professional Practice (Nutritional Health) awarded by the University of Greenwich.

Students will transfer relevant credits gained from their studies as Diploma Students into the programme. The degree course is run by the University of Greenwich (UG) and the conversion of the BCNH Degree-level Diploma to BSc can be completed over 1 – 2 years (usually in Year 4 and 5).

All students are enrolled initially as Diploma students and study predominantly at BCNH for the first three years (completing one module with UG each academic year as an Associate Student). Upon successful completion of Level 1, 2, & 3 courses, students will receive a BCNH Degree-level Diploma in Nutritional Therapy (without Clinical Practice) and will have obtained 240 credits (195 credits from BCNH and 45 credits from UG).

As all BCNH Diploma modules are degree level. We are externally regulated by the University of Greenwich.

Those students wishing to obtain a BSc (Hons) awarded by University of Greenwich will need to complete an additional 120 credits with UG within 6 years of enrolling with BCNH. For the majority of students, this will commence during Year 4 and will be spread over 2 years.

Individual students who have additional time during Levels 1 – 3 may negotiate with UG to obtain further credits during these years. As a result, it is possible to obtain a BSc from UG within 4 – 6 years (part-time) of enrolling with BCNH.

Our graduates have pursued their careers in various areas: working in a multidisciplinary clinics, teaching, lecturing, running workshops, delivering public seminars, working in GP surgeries, running courses for local councils, planning menus for school meals, writing articles for magazines, etc.
