Vega Alpha Lipoic Acid plus Acetyl L Carnitine
Vega Alpha Lipoic Acid Acetyl l-carnitine (ALC) occurs naturally in the brain, kidney and liver. It plays an important role in the transfer and utilisation of long-chain fatty acids in the mitochondrial matrix, the “powerhouse” of cells, where they are oxidised for the production of energy. Both ALA and ALC are not normally considered as essential nutrients because the body can manufacture them, however, the natural levels of both nutrients in the body gradually diminish with age.
