If you always find yourself groaning at the end of those gargantuan Christmas lunches remember that it can take up to 15 minutes or even longer for your stomach to communicate to your brain that you have had enough food, so eat slowly so if you eat too quickly you will miss the signals altogether. Pause often and assess your hunger and you'll find it easier to stop overeating.
