Having dark circles under the eyes is very common today. But since they are usually temporary hence dark circles under eyes treatment can be done in order to take care of the situation.

Once you know the cause of these dark circles under the eyes, the treatment becomes easier as well as more effective. The main reasons for these dark circles under the eye are generally lack of sleep, stress, fatigue, deficiency or some other form of disease. These may even be hereditary. Nasal congestion as well as chronic atopic eczema on skin is the other cause of dark circles. Then there is ageing which tends to thin the skin around the eyes, while eye puffiness can produce shadows which may result in light dark eye circles.
There are many home remedies to reduce dark circles under eye. Drink ten glasses of water everyday. Avoid strain on your eyes. Ensure that you get at least eight hours of sleep each day. Apart from all this home remedies you can also trust on dark circles cream to diminish dark circles.

Never leave dark circles cream on the skin around the eyes for a long period. Remove this cream after 10 min. Dark circles under eyes treatment can be done at home by covering your eyelids by slices of raw potato or cucumber for approx. 15-20 minutes. Then, wash them with warm water and apply under eye cream for dark circles. You may even make a mixture of fresh potato and cucumber juice. Now put it on your eyelids with the help of a cotton ball and keep it for 20 minutes. Then wash your eyes by using cold water.
Other home remedies include applying a mixture of lemon and tomato juice (equal parts) on your dark circles twice a day. You may also apply a paste of turmeric powder and pineapple juice on the dark circles under the eyes. Mint can be crushed and applied around the eyes.

Massaging with almond oil under and around the eyes just before going to bed is highly effective and helps to remove dark circles. Powdered Vitamin E capsule can be used for rubbing on the area and wiping it off with a mixture of honey as well as egg white in order to reduce darkness around the eye. You may press the acupressure point for eyes, which is on the mount just below the index finger of your palms.

Under eye puffiness can be reduced by raising the head of your bed at night. This way the fluids will not accumulate around your eyes as you sleep. Also try placing a bag of frozen vegetables over closed eyes for 10-15 minutes. Make sure that your head is upright. You may even tie some potato grates in a cloth and place this over your eyes for about 15-20 minutes. Vitamin E or olive oil is also a highly effective treatment.
