Founded in 1974, The Guild is a professional and training organisation for psychoanalytic psychotherapists. It is now a registered charity with over 250 members and trainees, who are bound by its Code of Ethics.

The Guild is a member of UKCP and has a pluralistic tradition which values many different analytic theories. The Guild offers a Private Referral Service and a Low-Fee Community Psychotherapy Clinic at 47 Nelson Square. It also offers a range of professional services which include Clinical Supervision, Work and Organisational Consultancy, a training to UKCP registration and a programme of lectures, talks and meetings of interest to members of various professions and the general public.
