This is a site for professionals, complementary practitioners and individuals with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Hypnotherapy is a proven and effective treatment for IBS, when conducted professionally by experienced, trained therapists. Other therapies are shown to help sufferers of IBS also.

The site at the moment is primarily listing hypnotherapists who have had additional training in managing this most troublesome condition. However we recognise other therapies can add valuable benefits' to the management of the IBS condition, in addition to enhancing the quality of life of those affected.

The IBS Register was founded in 1996 by Michael Mahoney who, through years of experience in this field has developed a keen understanding of the effects this condition can have on the individual IBS sufferer' physical and emotional state.

Over the years he has helped literally thousands of IBS sufferers both in his practice and through his IBS Audio Program 100. Additionally he has helped scores of Hypnotherapists with additional training in his methods to help their patients alleviate the symptoms of this most troublesome condition.

In the UK, the IBS Register has members that can be contacted for sessions on a one-to-one basis, listed by county, town, and surname along with a member's website list.
