Intructor: Rose Adams - As a massage therapist for over 30 years, and specifically over 15 years working with cancer patients, both in the hospital, cancer center, cancer infusion room, and private practice, I have found this work to be challenging and also gratifying. In addition to my work in the hospital environment, my work today includes working with elders in nursing homes, a private practice, and teaching at ASIS in Flagstaff. Massage therapists today have an opportunity to have a positive impact supporting those who have or are currently experiencing cancer, and I am grateful to share my knowledge and experience to insure massage therapy is offered in a safe and compassionate way. Principal author of article “The effects of massage therapy on pain management in the acute care setting”, which was published by the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, in 2010 (IJTMB.org)
