BA/BSc, MA/MSc and PhD in Complementary Health Studies or Wellness Studies.
Non-UK degrees validated by Calamus International University. These programmes are by distance learning only - there is no attendance. Bachelor's and Master's are by taught courses with project. Ph.D. is by research and dissertation.
The Bachelor's degree is by accelerated entry only and applicants must have approx. 50% credit through previous training and experience.
All applicants must already have a practitioner qualification in a branch of complementary medicine or therapy, or expect to receive such a qualification soon, or have a qualification in nursing, medicine, psychology, etc.
These degrees are not practitioner qualifications and do not qualify the student to practise any particular therapy. They are offered for continuing professional education.
By special approval, the Bacheor's or Master's may be taken for personal interest, for example to help decide what branch of complementary care to train in, or to enter health food sales, health writing or related careers.
A wide range of study topics is available and an individualised syllabus is planned together with the student. Core units are provided on integrated theories of complementary therapies.
An ongoing project or unpublished manusicript may be considered towards the Ph.D.
If you are not sure whether you qualify for entry, send us your CV in strict confidence and ask for our advice.
CIU is not a UK university and does not have government accreditation.
