Autism
Lyme
Heavy Metal Toxicity

Having an Autistic child and being a practitioner for over ten years at the most cutting edge end of energy medicine I have discovered lots and decided to dedicate this page to these three topics: Currently 1:54 children born in the UK (2008 statistics) will have a spectrum disorder and this figure doubles approximately every five years. So by 2013 there will hardly be a child born who is not afflicted in some way. We have a tidal wave coming of children who will be growing up with these disorders and we do not at present have the resources to deal with them and the powers that be seem to have very little understanding of what they are really dealing with. Most of these children will be afflicted by one if not all of the following topics: Heavy Metal Toxicity, Lyme Disease and Autism

Heavy Metal Toxicity:

There are over 35 metals that may cause Heavy Metal Toxicity, but the most common are mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic.  Being chronically Heavy Metal Toxic can cause the excretion of certain important minerals including magnesium, selenium and zinc.  Most people become heavy metal toxic due to the silver coloured fillings in their mouth which are predominantly made up of mercury.

Symptoms

Currently, the symptoms known to be associated with Heavy Metal Toxicity include:

Chronic Pain – Throughout the muscles and tendons or any soft tissues of the body

Malaise – General feeling of discomfort and illness

Brain Fog – A state of forgetfulness and confusion

Compromised Immune Systems – The inability to produce “fighter cells” within the body resulting in a weakened defense system

Severe Neurological Disorders – Dizziness, migraines, headaches, visual disorder and other psychiatric and psychological disorders

Nervous System Malfunctions – Burning extremities, numbness, tingling, and an electrifying feeling throughout the body.

Related Conditions

Allergies – Much more than just itchy eyes and stuffed up nose; allergies can include severe symptoms such as vomiting, narrowing of the esophagus, heart palpitations, hives, joint and muscle pain, and chronic explosive diarrhea.

Anxiety – A mental health disorder believed to affect about 15% of the adults in the United States. Anxiety is supposedly more common than any other category of mental health disorders.

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) – Commonly found in children, and less frequently in adults, this condition is marked by an inability to pay attention and stay “on task.”

Alzheimer’s – A progressive brain disorder that gradually destroys memory, impairs judgment, reasoning and thought, produces personality and behavioral changes, and hinders daily functioning. It is the most common form of dementia among the elderly.

Multiple Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) – An autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. A fatty tissue called myelin helps nerve fibers conduct electrical impulses. In MS, myelin is damaged and/or lost, which destroys the nerves’ ability to conduct electrical impulses to and from the brain, and leads to a host of neurological symptoms that come and go (relapses).

Nervous System Malfunctions – Burning extremities, numbness, tingling, and an electrifying feeling throughout the body

Autism – A complex developmental disorder that appears in the first three years of life, although it is sometimes diagnosed much later. It affects the brain's normal development of social and communication skills. Recent scientific research is now pointing to heavy metal toxicity as a possible cause.

Candida (Candidiasis) – An infection or overgrowth of candida yeast in the body. Candida yeast inhabits all areas of the body and in the intestine, it co-exists with friendly intestinal bacteria such as Bifidobacteria bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus. However, when the immune system is compromised, candida yeast can rapidly overwhelm the friendly bacteria and cause an imbalance. As candida becomes the predominant organism in the intestinal tract, it secretes a multitude of toxins which can produce debilitating symptoms that may be realized beyond the digestive tract.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome – A complicated disorder characterized by severe fatigue that does not improve with bed rest and may worsen with physical or mental activity. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome distresses both the body and the brain, affecting concentration, short-term memory, and sleep. CFS is also associated with flu-like symptoms, joint and muscle pain, and tender lymph nodes. The symptoms generally continue unabated, leaving the body depleted of energy and the ability to defend itself against other conditions.

Depression – A disorder affecting the body, mood, and thoughts of those who suffer from it. This illness involves more than just a fleeting mood of unhappiness. Without treatment, the symptoms can continue for years and produce devastating results.

Dyslexia – A learning disorder marked by impairment of the ability to recognize and comprehend written words.

Fibromyalgia – A condition characterized by fatigue, chronic pain in the muscles, joints and soft tissues of the body, and tenderness at specific sites in the body. All muscles, tendons, and ligaments feel as though they are overworked with a twitching and burning feeling.

Parkinson’s Disease – A progressive nervous disease occurring most often after the age of 50, associated with the destruction of brain cells that produce dopamine and characterized by muscular tremor, slowing of movement, partial facial paralysis, peculiarity of gait and posture, and weakness. Also called, paralysis agitans, shaking palsy.

Over View:

Children are now born with Fetal Metal Syndrome because the toxic load from mother has been passed over the placenta to the child.  The child is born with a compromised immune system which, neither the parent, or the physician may be aware of and when they have their first injections at three months they can get tipped over the edge into asthma, eczema or a spectrum disorder.  Many people will blame the vaccines, but they are quite often the catalyst not the sole cause.

How else does mercury get into your system:

  • Through breast milk
  • From all fish in particular predatory fish: Tuna, Salmon & Shark etc.
  • Water
  • Vaccinations

Where does it go to in the body:

  • Into your brain
  • Exacerbating any weak area
  • Joints
  • Skin
  • Nervous system
  • Lymph system
  • Organs

Scientifically Proven Facts:

  • Most Dental Amalgam contains about 50% Mercury
  • Mercury has been scientifically demonstrated to be more toxic than, Lead, Cadmium or even Arsenic Vera Stejskal Sweden MEMORY LYMPHOCYTE IMMUNOSTIMULATION ASSAY - Melisa
  • Mercury leaves dental amalgam continuously throughout the lifetime of a filing (JonesDW, Sutton EJ & Millner)
  • Mercury is cytotoxic. – It kills cells Vera Stejskal Sweden MEMORY LYMPHOCYTE IMMUNOSTIMULATION ASSAY - Melisa
  • Mercury vapour is absorbed at a rate of 80% through the lungs and arterial blood JADA vol. 115 Dec. ’87
  • Mercury is absorbed directly into the brain.

Overall, Mercury causes cell death wherever it goes. The metals and chemicals also tend to accumulate in the persons genetically weakest tissue, provoking whatever disease tendency they may have.

Another issue is ‘toxin synergy’. Mercury + Lead is 10 times more dangerous than Mercury alone. Mercury + Lead + Antibiotics is 100 times more poisonous than any of the three alone. This is recent research from Dr. B. Haley PhD, U. of Kentucky Chemistry Dean. There are thousands of combinations that have not been studied.

Every child I have tested with ADD, ADHD, Autism, Hyper Activity has had metal toxicity.  Most children I have tested with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, eczema and asthma have had heavy metal toxicity.

On a positive note, EVERYONVE FUNCTIONS BETTER WITHOUT MERCURY OR HEAVY METAL TOXICITY.

The benefits are:

  • Brain Function Improves
  • Immune System Improves
  • Sleep Improves
  • Behaviour Improves
  • Concentration Improves
  • Co-ordination Improves
  • Diet widens

Some of the things we use to remove Heavy Metal Toxicity:

  • Chlorella Vulgaris
  • Chlorella Pyrenoidosa
  • NDF Plus
  • NDF
  • Phospholipids
  • Green Light
  • OSR
  • Matrix Metals
  • Zeolite

It is absolutely paramount to not only remove mercury from the body but to remove mercury from the brain where it kills the astrocytes (your intelligent brain cells!).

AUTISM:

This is a hugely complicated disorder which affects the brain and the gut predominantly it creates huge amounts of co-infections and every person is different in the way it is manifested therefore each person has to be treated on an individual basis.

Autism is a disease with a complex genetic pattern of susceptibilities.
Currently only a small portion of cases of autism are explainable by genetics.  Instead of having a genetic disorder, people with autism are better described as having a genetic susceptibility.  The environment and other factors are clearly playing a role and although most researchers acknowledge this in their studies it appears to have been largely ignored.

Diet can play a huge role with these children.  Having a urinary peptide test from the Sunderland University is a good start to find out whether it is necessary to avoid Gluten and Casein or if indeed you require a Specific Carbohydrate Diet.

Removing the co-infections and the toxin load is paramount and is on going in all cases, but this too brings huge rewards.

Enzymes and Probiotics can also make a huge difference to the way food is assimilated and how the gut can heal.

Removing electromagnetic fields from the house is a must.  EMF’s can increase the bacterial load in somebody by 600% so there is no point giving huge amounts of supplements to just have the affects negated by sitting in front of a TV or computer!  If you live in a town invest in a Faraday cage over the bed so the occupant is protected whilst they sleep and able to heal more affectively.  If you want the best check out Memon devices at www.inharmoneywithnature.co.uk these devices completely remove all EMF’s from the house, car etc.

Most people with Autism are hugely magnesium deficient and the best way to get magnesium into the body is transdermally.  By avoiding the stomach and the liver (by not taking it orally) it goes straight into the blood stream and is far more effective – it is the closest way to absorbing it to IV magnesium.  Epsom salt baths are also hugely beneficial.

I have followed Dr Dietrich Klinghardt’s protocols for years with my own son and with many of my clients and have found his methods to be excellent and to bring consistent results.

Lyme Disease

Most people need to wake-up to this one it is huge and it is everywhere.  Recent findings show that 4:5 autistic children have Lyme disease.  So to not recognize this and treat it, means you are only looking at 50% of the picture.

Transmission

Lyme disease is not just transmitted by ticks as is commonly believed it is transmitted by:

  • Mosquitos and Fleas
  • Blood Transfusions
  • Sexual Intercourse
  • Trans-Placental to Fetus
  • Unpasteurized Milk
  • Breast Feeding
  • Food

Therefore it has to be understood that Lyme Disease is congenital and therefore if a child has it, it is more than likely that it was passed from Mother via the placenta.

There are seven major co-infections that need to be tested for:

Borrelia (bacteria)
Babesia (protozoa)
Ehrlichia (rickettsia)
Coxiella (rickettsia)
Bartonella (bacteria)
Mycoplasma (L-form)
Viruses (esp. CMV,EBV)

Years can pass before symptoms appear in a patient that has been infected.   All asymptomatic carriers of Borrelia are at risk of developing symptomatic Lyme borreliosis.  Immune suppression by stress may cause activation.

The only reliable tests for Lyme Disease are the Eliza test, and the Western Blot test both these can be done from the Breakspear Hospital in Hertfordshire http://www.breakspearmedical.com  Blood tests are usually unreliable as the spirochetes live in the connective tissues and eat the antibodies in the blood, so blood tests usually come back negative.  You can also get tested by somebody who practices Autonomic Response Testing.  This testing is carried out via sympathetic resonance and is highly accurate.  For more details on this do contact me.

Dr. Andrew Wright, medical researcher in the United Kingdom, believes that the majority of chronic conditions are Lyme related.

Katrina Tang, Director of Research at the Sierra Integrative Medicine Clinic, states that Lyme disease eludes diagnosis because of its ability to mimic many other diseases.   According to an informal study by the American Lyme Disease Alliance, most patients diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) are suffering from Lyme disease.   In the study, 28 of the 31 CFS patients were found to be ill because of Lyme.

Paul Fink, past President of the American Psychiatric Association, has acknowledged that Lyme disease likely contributes to every psychiatric disorder, including:

  • Attention Deficit Disorder (A.D.D.)
  • Antisocial activity
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Schizophrenia
  • Panic attacks
  • Anorexia Nervosa
  • Autism
  • Asperger’s syndrome (a form of autism)

To name a few!

Treatment:

Within a couple of days of being bitten by a tick antibiotics are usually affective.  However once this time has passed or you have picked it up by other means you will probably need a variety of approaches.  In my clinic we use the Klinghardt approach which has been used successfully in over 900 cases.  Have a look at www.klinghardtacademy.com  There are many approaches which can be used and as with all things each case is different and needs to be addressed so.

So there you have it a very brief run through of some salient points which I think are important.
