Our Diploma Course in Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Massage and Anatomy & Physiology is a one-year training programme providing all the necessary practical skills and knowledge to establish a new career as a registered Professional Aromatherapist.
The course is held over a series of weekends at Regent's College in Regent's Park, central London, and includes an unforgettable study week in beautiful Provence, France - the world centre of essential oil production! The course fee is inclusive of the cost of the return flight to France, hotel accommodation, meals and travel insurance.
We have been offering the Diploma Course since 1987, and have successfully trained hundreds of Aromatherapists who are now in practice in both the UK and abroad. The course is accredited by the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA), which students can initially join as Student Members, and then on completion as Full Members.
The aim of the Institute is to teach Aromatherapy as a complete healing art — one which takes a truly holistic approach to essential oils and their therapeutic uses. By making traditional healing wisdom a central focus, theoretical knowledge is able to develop hand-in-hand with intuitive and practical skills.
With his background in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Shiatsu, Institute Principal Gabriel Mojay has developed an approach to Aromatherapy that unites a sound scientific perspective with the basic principles of Oriental Medicine — the world’s most highly-developed holistic healthcare system.
At the same time, we give our Aromatherapy Diploma students a firm foundation in the scientific aspects of Aromatherapy, including the biology and chemistry of essential oils, and their safe application based on the latest research. We are fortunate in this regard to have leading international Aromatherapy educator Rhiannon Harris on our faculty.
Our study of over 60 essential oils and their main chemotypes is geared towards a thorough of understanding their medicinal properties and uses as well as their energetic effects on the body and mind.
Clinical Aromatherapy is a special system of natural healing, and demands a special approach to its instruction. This Institute achieves this through providing comprehensive, well-rounded training which is accessible, inspirational and enjoyable.
