Food and Mood

Distance Learning Viewed 202 times · Nutrition
This workshop explores the relationship between what we eat and how we feel - emotionally, mentally and physically

There is no need to have any nutritional background knowledge to take part - the only thing required is a willingness to explore the idea that food can affect our mood.
This interactive one-day workshop is facilitated by a qualified nutritional therapist and explains how food and nutrition can significantly affect your mental and emotional health.  It will look at which foods can cause problems, which foods can help, why and how to change your diet for the better.
The workshop combines a mixture of group discussions, mini workshops, quizzes, food tasting, DVD and an introduction to food and mood - all of which provides the opportunity for those attending to boost their knowledge and share their experiences.

Topics covered:

·    Introduction to the major food groups

·    Concepts of poor and positive mental health

·    Exploring the 10 steps of food and mood

·    Recognising super foods that boost your mood

·    Food tasting of good mood foods

·    Developing a healthy mind meal
