The Brazilian butt lift is a popular procedure that’s being increasingly used by Hollywood celebrities and regular people alike. The procedure can greatly enhance the buttocks, and the best thing about it is that it does all of this by simply taking your own fat from an unwanted place and re-distributing it to another.    While it’s a safe procedure that comes with minimal risks and a relatively quick recovery time, there are a number of things you can do post-surgery to aid in your recovery, ensure that no complications arise and make sure you get the best possible results from a Brazilian butt lift. By reading and carefully following the following set of guidelines, you’ll be doing everything you can to ensure that your body heals properly while also reducing the risk of complications.

Don’t Sit For Around Two Weeks

Directly after surgery, you’ll be very tender. The fact that’s been transferred to your buttocks will also be susceptible to damage, so it’s important to avoid sitting for at least two weeks. By avoiding sitting, you’ll give your rear end the best chance of healing so the results of your Brazilian butt lift don’t become compromised.    It can be difficult to avoid sitting, especially when you stop to think about it and realise it’s something you do countless times during the day, but there are ways to get around this. It’s important to ensure that you have plenty of time off work, and when you do need to get off your feet, try lying on your front on a bed or couch. And remember – the more you avoid sitting, the better the end results should be.

Encourage Circulation

Walking around and stretching your legs is important after the procedure, as it helps to increase blood circulation. One risk during recovery that’s associated with not just the Brazilian butt lift but all surgeries is blood clots, but by walking and stretching, you’ll be substantially decreasing the risk of forming a blood clot.

Manage Your Pain

After the surgery, you’ll feel a certain level of discomfort. This can usually be combated with over the counter pain management medications such as paracetamol and ibuprofen. Simply take these as directed and when needed. Like all surgeries, the Brazilian butt lift will likely result in some pain and discomfort afterwards, but if the pain you experience is severe or intolerable, contact your doctor immediately.

Your doctor will most likely give you some stretching exercises to do post-surgery, so be sure to do these as directed. This will help the Brazilian butt lift recovery process to go faster and more smoothly.

Keep Track of Drain Output

When you have a Brazilian butt lift surgery, you will have a drain placed in the lower back area. This is used to remove the excess fluid that will accumulate in the operating area post surgery. It’s essential to keep track of and record this fluid output during recovery, as it will allow your doctor to monitor the healing process accurately.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated is essential while you’re recovering, so remember to drink plenty of water and keep your fluid intake up.
